Diagnosed With Ovarian Cyst. What Does Mixed Echo Texture Hypo Echoic Focus Mean?

I was diagnosed today with an ovarian cyst (I m 5.5 weeks preg)... they called it a mixed echotexture hypoechoic focus measuring 6.9x6.8 cm... in the right adnexa appears to be within the right ovary and may represent a hemorrhagic corpus luteal cyst... What s mixed echotexture hypoechoic focus mean? What s adnexa mean? And since its hemorrhagic, can I expect to see blood discharged at some point or will my body possibly reabsorb it? Thanks!

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mixed echotexture of the ovarian cyst means it is not a simple cyst. There is possibility of an internal bleeding or a solid mass inside the cyst. Needs further investigations.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
