Diagnosed With Septic Olecranon Bursitis, Taking Augmentation. How To Treat It?

I have been diagnosed with sepitic olecranon bursitis and the dr. makes it sound like if I don t check into a hospital now they will buryme tomorrow, I am taking 1000mg of augmentation orally right now and waitinf for an infectious disease Dr to call me, what do you say

Hi,
The Augmentin will take 24 hours to take effect and you will need to take the full course. A septic joint can make you very ill and if the antibiotics do not work you may need the joint surgically drained. However, it is not likely to kill you.
