Hello
For Penicillin it Takes 5-7 days to give good result.
In addition get the pus culture report and if culture and sensitivity done then get the report so that the proper antibiotic can be started if not penicillin.
Ibuprofen is analgesic and anti inflammatory ,,so the ant inflammatory action will help a lot in decreasing the inflammation and will give good symptom relief.
Keep eating and swallowing as more the neck muscles work faster will be the recovery and keep turning your head to right and left slowly so that the muscles are working.
Take care that you do not develop fever.
Get well soon.
