Dirty Fingernails, Sticky Hands After Washing. What Is Invading My Nails?

Hi, I have RSD and I fall often, I am pretty sure that I picked up Pinworm, I had them very bad under my toenails , it seems that they also may have gone under my skin of my feet , also my hands and fingernails, ive taken the liquid medicine for 125lbs person its been a week, & my fingernails are still infested, but it looks like dirt , & my hands are sticky, especially after washing, and before totally drying them. I was taking daily baths, but the medicine box inst. Said to only shower daily, as a bath can allow them to lay eggs. Which I think may have happened? No matter what I do, bleach, peroxide, salt, nothing will get rid of these!! I am a very clean person, I take good hygienic care of myself and my surroundings, what is this invading my nails?? Please help, I am so embarrassed, and uncomfortable. Thank you

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Pin worm is transmitted through oro-fecal contamination. It can be present under your finger nail and got reinfected. But this will not produce any nail lesion.
Moreover this will not be present in your toe nail. It is unusual.

You would likely to have a fungal infection of nails which can be confirmed by examination and nail clipping and lab investigations.
Similarly these fungal infection can affect your hands and web space also.
Avoid frequent hand washing, bleach and hydrogen per oxide and other home remedies. Consult a dermatologist, get examined and he will help you to overcome this problem.
