Discomfort Feeling Under The Left Rib Cage, Difficulty In Swallowing Food. Is It Due To Virus?
I have recently gotten over a virus but the last 2 weeks i have had a discomfort feeling under my left ribcage at the bottom as if something is swollen underneath. And today i ve found it difficult to swallow my food like i didnt when i had my virus at the time. it feels as if its being stretched when i swallow my food at the bottom of my throat almost in my chest and it also hurts when i cough .
thank you for contacting the website for more insight about your problem , i suspect the virus you talk about causes an upper respiratory tract infection for you and if so you developed cough during the time you were sick !? if so it might be related to the virus in terms of causing a fatigue to your accessory respiratory muscles like serratus muscle and costdiaphragmtic muslces which gives the feeling of pain similar to the muscle pain you get when you over exercise . try taking NSAIDS for pain either ointment on the sight of pain or tablets and remember to eat before taking those tablets and make sure you dont have stomach problems like an ulcer before taking them .
best regards , Ahmad
