Discomfort On Tongue, Covered With Red Spots After Eating Cold Stuff. Why Is This Happening?
Some time yesterday i began to feel a slight discomfort on my tongue . I realized it only hurt when i ate something cold . I didn t think much of it because the pain went away after a little while. Then today again i ate something cold, i looked in the mirror, and my tongue was covered in little red spots. They are pretty small and spread out throughout the tongue without any specific clusters any where. But it got me worried.

Red spots on tongue can be small blood bumps. several reasons possible . the most common reason can be the deficiency of vitamin B in the body. Secondly, it can be some sort of allergic reaction against foreign substance. these allergens here can be a foodstuff, toothpaste or its ingredients and even medicines. Try to stop using these stuffs and notice the change. Thirdly, bacterial infections in mouth can be the reason as well.
try to maintain oral hygiene by regular brushing and cleaning of tongue, gargling with benadryl or other antacids also. and visit the dentist asap.

Red spots on the tongue usually appear when suffering from flu or sore throat or cold or gastric reflexes,or weak immunity as well. Taking cold things might be an aggreviating factor for the present infection .
I would advise you to take multvitamin supplement and keep your tongue and oral cavity clean .
See your dentist so that clinical examination will rule out the exact cause for the infection .

It can be due to vitamin deficiencies folic acid and vitamin B 12.
Bacterial and viral infections scarlet fever.
