Dislocated Toes, Itching And Swelling With Blisters. Had A Surgery. On Penicillin. Suggestion?

I had surgery 6 months ago for dislocated toes and a bunion. For the last month I have had an itchy foot starting on the ball of the foot. It started as a small raised area and then the whole foot was itchy and swollen, my GP put me on penicillin and a fungal cream. It all seemed to clear for a week now it is back again with the ball of the foot itchy and white blister looking areas appearing. After golf today the blister must have burst as my foot and shoe was wet, but the itching has gone. Any suggestions.

Hello
Welcome to healthcare magic forum.
Thank you for your query.
I am Dr Gaurav Patel,dermatologist.
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem.
It look like fungal infection,
You need to take oral anti fungal medicine for it,
you can apply clotrimazole cream over it.
Better to consult dermatologist for it.
It will take 8-10 weeks to cure .
You need to continue medicine for this time.
Once you stop before it will re occur.
Keep the leg dry and clean.
I hope I answered your question.
Wish you speedy recovery.
Regards,
I find this answer helpful
