Dizziness, Over Exert, Headache, Sore Throat. What Do I Do?
Hello, I have in the last wekk and a half been getting dizzy when I over exert, stretch or move my head too from one side to the other when laying down, I also have a dull headache as if a vice is being used constantly on it, then this morning I appear to have nasal drip down the back of my throat with a sour/metalic taste. I do have an appontment with my GP but this is not for 5 days, so was wondering if I need to make a quicker one?
Hi and thanks for the query,
Headaches can either be primary or secondary. What you describe is more of a secondary headache. Its true that exertion and lack of enough sleep or rest could cause such symptoms. However, in your situation, causes of post nasal drip associated with headaches must be considered. A chronic sinusitis is a very common cause in this case. Associated with headaches and post nasal drips. Chronic rhinitis are also very common. An early diagnosis and treatment are very important to avoid chronic complications like mastoiditis and brain infections.
I suggest you consult an ENT specialist for management.
thanks and best regards,
