Dizziness While Lying Down, Getting Up. Ear Test Shows High Frequency Sensory Neural Hearing Loss. Treatment?

Hello Dr,
For the past 10-12 days, I am suffering dizziness while trying to lie down, and when i get up from the bed. This is more on my right side. When my head is just about 1 ' above the pillow, my head experiences a sudden shallowness and a sense of dizziness onsets as my head goes down towards the pillow. I can't say, how long it remains, 'cause, as soon as I experience this, I get up and sit once again, and again I attempt to lie down very very slowly, and then rest my head, when i don't get that feeling anymore. The same thing happens when I get up from the sleeping position. It is not vertigo, as I know what it feels when vertigo strikes.
I've done my Ear Test, which says Right & Left Ear--both having mild to severe steeply sloping high frequency sensory neural hearing loss.
Please advise medicines and care that is to be taken.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
It is Vertigo only, which closely related with the ear physiology, most common cause is labyrinthitis ( Insufficient blood supply to labyrinth) in most of the cases now days it comes around without any specific medicine, the way, is certain head position movement menuer for this you will have to have opinion from either ENT surgeon or neurophysician , cinnarazine can be tried one tab. three times in day , have nice day.

Hi
It can be a benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. As you told that you are having sensory neural hearing loss, you should rule out whether it is labrinthine vertigo. Now you can take meclizine 25 mg twice daily for 5 days. If not improving on that consult an ENT specilist and rule out whether it is central or labrinthine vertigo. And also check your blood pressure and take an Ecg also to rule out if you have any kind of dysrhythmia.
thanks
