Dizzy, Nauseous, Lightheaded, Headache. Reason? Treatment?

Hello. At 3am this morning I woke up to use the bathroom and when I went to lay back down, I got super dizzy and I felt nauseous. When I was laying there trying to go back to bed it continued to get worse. It continued to do that until about 8:30am. I haven't slept since then due to me now being lightheaded and I have a headache in the front of my head along with my vision is bothering me. I just turned 20 years old..thank you! What do you think could be wrong with me and how can I fix it..is it serious?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
If I were your treating doctor for this dizziness ,I would come up with these possibilities , these includes.
1 Hyper acidity or gastritis . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical as well clinical examination and history of illness by a physician .
Usually dinner of previous night is responsible for these type of symptoms . Fried food, spicy food, greasy food , drinks caffeine in them , alcohol , junk food develops hyper acidity or gastritis.
Gastritis develops dizziness and blurred vision .
If possible avoid such type of food . Antacid helps, if symptoms are sever you may need proton pump inhibitors.
2 Overeating may be the another reason .
3 Indigestion or if no proper rest after dinner is another cause.
In my opinion just simple antacid tablet with ondansterone will be sufficient.
Still these symptoms persist then consult a physician .
Good luck. Dr. HET
