Do Albuterol And Advair Interfere With Each Other Causing Swelling In The Mouth?

Hello, I ve been on albuterol, ventilyn that go into a nebulizer, symbrivia, advair and I m wondering if these medications when mixed together could cause swelling on the inside of my mouth/throat, increase of mucus buildup, and I m just wondering if these medications have a lot of the same components that are part of their general makeup. I was just fearing that my Dr. may have put me on these medicines to work on each individual problem but, maybe didn t put the thought into what will happen when they re added together and used together, what would the side effects and or, benefits of them together because, I just dont feel that I m seeing a great improvement. I ve lost my voice too and, I m just AGGRAVATED to no end!!! Please help :(

Understanding your concern. As per you are wondering if Albuterol and Advair interfere with each other causing swelling in the mouth

Fluticasone is a steroid and acts as an anti-inflammatory drug and Salmeterol is a bronchodialator and is used to prevent asthmatic attacks.

All the above symptoms you explained are as a side effects of the Advair , So i would suggest you to consult your doctor or allergy specialist and discuss the condition . Doctor may alter the does or prescribe substitute . Change of medicine is more acceptable. Doctor may also refer you to oral pathologist for oral condition like stomatitis .

For now maintain proper oral hygiene and do warm saline rinses .
