Do Avalide 12.5mg And Lipitor 10mg Cause Weight Gain?

I am a 57 year old male and I am taking Avalide (12.5mg) and Lipitor (10mg). I believe that my metabolism has slowed and I cannot seem to lose weight or inches. Can this be a possible side effect of taking one or both of these medications? I do not overeat and try to maintain a healthy diet and bike to work 30 minutes each way to work most days.
