Do BP And Migraine Medicines Lead To Loss Of Appetite, nausea And Hair Loss?
I m on blood pressure medication and migraine meds. My absolute monocytes were at 189 and ferritin was at a 8. I ve had low energy for the past 6 mon to a yr and have been exper hair loss. I ve also been having nausea and loss of appetite to the point I can go extended time without eating. I rarely lose weight though. Not surely what s happening
As per my clinical experience, certain medications are associated with the GI upset in terms of nausea, abdomen fullness via gastritis development with or without gastic ulcer. It is the metallic taste of medicine which gives such sensation and can be easily curtailed with the use of sugar coated medicine or capsule. The hair loss is not a usual side effect of migraine and blood pressure medicine and rest of the causes like: - Trace elements deficiency as zinc, magnesium or others - Stress - Ongoing smoking - Undiagnosed thyroid dysfunction have to be sorted out first. However, if you can provide details of your current medication with dosages, I would be able to further curtail the discussion to more relevant guidelines.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
