Do BP Medicines Cause Passing Of Blood Clots During Urination?

Hi,I am urinating all the time and feel pressure just afterwards but no pain.I am 52 on blood pressure tablets, not cholestrol ones or water tablets. When I need to go I cannot hold on. I used to get bad infections where i would pee blodd clots, yes agony, but not had them for a few years now. Should I go see my doctor, could it be related to my bp medication?

Hi
Welcome to HCM!

I appreciate your concern regarding the safety profile of BP medications.

Blood clots or bleeding during urination is not caused by BP medications.
It could be either from the kidneys, ureter, or urinary bladder.
Reason could be kidney stones, infection, cysts or tumors.

You need to do urine analysis, ultrasound to find out the cause. Kindly visit your doctor.
Take care.
