Do Combiflam Tablets Cause Constipation And Blood In Stool?

Doc, could you please tell me about the side effects of combiflam tabs? My wife took one tablet of combiflam for her knee pain. She earlier had a shot in the knee at the doctor s clinic that was some kind of steroid. She also took Protocer Capsule 50 mg-15 mg once a day for three days. Her knee pain is much better but she is having constipation and is passing some blood also. Please advise what should we do to relieve constipation and stop her bleed. Bleeding is not severe but only a few spots on the tissue paper.

Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Your wife's symptoms might be due to combiflam intake. It has short term side effects like gastritis, constipation, abdominal pain, gas, indigestion, nausea, skin rashes etc.

So better to discontinue the medication unless otherwise its required. Also for relief, I advice to
1. Have diet with good fibre content like green leafy vegetables, Fruits : Bananas, figs etc
2. Excess intake of water.
3. Syrup. Lactulose 15ml
