Do I Need Antibiotics For Temperature 101F?

Hello, I am an adult 62 and have a 101 fever. I dont feel really bad, but something in throat and nose. I . It starts on sunday and I use saline nasal drops and now I took my temperature first time. Took 2 advil 200 mg. Do you think I need anthibiotic? I have more than 3 years no taking this. My languaye is spanish and I dont have insurance.

Hi, thanks for using HCM.

Your symptoms are suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection.
Most of the URTI are due to viral infection. Symptomatic treatment is enough to relive your symptoms. It usually subside in a week.
If you develop lower respiratory tract symptoms need to consult doctor for further management.
