Do I Require Physical Therapy For Scoliosis And Back Pain?

I have a pain in my hip that has been around for about a year now. It is getting worse as time goes by and seems to hurt most in the morning and at night. I have always had back pain, feet, ankle and knee pain pretty much my whole life which I assumed to be connected with my flat feet and diagnosed with scoliosis as a child. I recently went to a doctor who did an examination, and xrays or my hip and back. He said they all came back normal and prescribed me flexoril, and darvocets. and also stated that he wanted me to start physical therapy. First off, I dont like taking and I have stopped taking the medicine prescribed because I cant function at work and Im confused what to do next because my hip, (only my right hip) continues to have pain. I was hoping you had any suggestions? Should I try another doctor, start the physical therapy, ??? Please help!
