Do I Still Have A Kidney Stone And Infection?

I was just on medications and antibiotics for kidney stone and infection. I finished the antibiotics 2 days ago but continued to have a sense of urgency off and on. Tonight that sense of urgency has suddenly increased and I am very uncomfortable. Does this mean I still have an infection? And what can I do about it at 1:30 in the morning? Thank you. I did start drinking unsweetened cranberry juice.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. A urine routine and culture examination is required to rule out infection and to determine the presence of bacteria in the urine. If there is infection antibiotics must be continued. An ultrasound abdomen can also be considered to rule out any stones or calculus.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
