Do Levothyroxine And Lisinopril Affect The Libido?

My husband was recently placed on the following two medications--Levothroxine and Lisinopril 75mg for Levot. and 10mg for Lisin. He is 71 years young. In pretty good health, a very strict vegetatarin. The two medications appear to have an affect on his sexual arousal. Is this a side effect of the medications? Right now I am not at home and do not have credit card to continue. Will come back online later this evening when I am home. Thanks.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

The medication you mention shouldn't be the cause, neither Lisinopril nor Levothyroxine are known to cause a loss of libido as a side effect. So he should continue them and discuss with his physician about other possible causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
