Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, We have been planning to have a baby for the past two months.we consulted a gynaecologist regarding this.she advised me to take ubiphene 50 mg twice a day from my fourth day of cycle and ovafem plus capsules one in the morning for a month. How does these tablets help in conceiving.
Both the drugs mentioned are used in the treatment of female infertility. Ubiphene contains clomiphene citrate which is an ovulation induction. It causes the release of ovum from ovary which will increase the chance of pregnancy rate. Ovafem contains Dehydroepiandrosterone which is a derivative of female sex hormone progesterone and helps in the production and development of healthy eggs.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
