Do You Take Insurance?
I had DMEK surgery on both eyes. The 2nd eye (my left eye) was done in August, and did not go smoothly. The incision to insert the tissue was an entire quadrant unlike the first surgery, and had to be re-bubbled after 2 weeks. I have monocular double vision in that eye, with the main image being about 80% dense, with the second image below and a little to my right at about 20% density. This is driving me crazy. It's one thing to see a second image when reading text or when only 2 colors are in view, but looking at detailed images like faces at a distance is unsatisfactory, with details all out of wack. Either the cornea was slightly stretched or misaligned when it was stitched or the endothelial and descemet membrane is coming off. What tests can be done to determine what the problem is. I have good insurance that costs about $8,000.00 a year for single individual . Do you take insurance?
