Do Antibiotics Cause Excessive Sleep, Throbbing Legs And Elevated Sugar Levels?

Ever since I started this new antibiotics four days ago,I am sleeping twelve to fourteen hours,diaries weakness,severe leg calf throbbing,severe knee pain.this is the name to the new antibiotics I am taking.sulfamethoxazole/Tom d s tablets.twice daily..I feel so miserable.and my sugar is sky high is that from this medicine side affects..thank you Cindy

Hello,

Not all the problems you are facing may be related to sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim intake. It causes insomnia more than sleepiness.

Yet if you feel that Bactrim is causing allergic these symptoms you better stop it and switch to another drug such Ciprofloxacin.
