Do Antidepressant Medications Cause Weight Or Hormonal Problems?
hello doctor i am on anti depressants such as venlor xr 150 mg ,lithosun-sr 400 mg and rivotril 0.5 mg. I am 34 yr old and have hypothyroid my concern is that do these medication cause any weight gain or any other harmonal problems.As i got hypothyriod after taking prothiden antidepressant in 2010.

Lithosun carry lithium and it could lead to hypothyroidism. If you already have history of hypothyroidism, then you should avoid it. Beside this, you can try valproate or carbamazepine.
