Do Bioidentical HRT Or HCG Cause Growth Of Existing Tumors?

HI, I have had one fibroid tumor for over 10 years. It has never changed in size. The last ultrasound I had was a year ago. I had a ct scan yesterday which revealed the fibroid has grown and I now have several fibroids. The largest measurement of my uterus has always been about 7.5cm. Yesterday the largest measurement was 12cm, I am assuming due to the new fibroids and the increase in size of the large fibroid. I am 48 and started bio identical hrt a little over a year ago. I have also been doing hcg for about 6 or 8 months. Can you tell me if possibly the hrt or hcg have caused my tumor to grow and the other tumors to appear? Thanks

Hello,

Fibroid lesion of the uterus is not a pure form of pathology but it is due to a change in hormone level.

Most of the time lesion stop growing at the certain level and if this goes on increasing then it has to be investigated for a possible cause.

With the history of fibroid lesion, it is most advisable not to have any hormone therapy because it may jeopardize the condition or may mask the clinical condition, HRT or HCG should be avoided.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
