Do Diarrhea And Stomach Flu Interfere With The Effectiveness Of Birth Control Pills?

on birth control. Had my period during placebo period, but with diarrhea for the last few days. Had intercourse with my partner on the last day of placebo. I started a new pack and I took the pill at 6pm but that morning, I had a few diarrhea but none after I took the pill. Am I still protected? I m suspecting that I got a stomach flu.

maybe not, it depends on the fact you absorbed the pill or not. I suggest to use condoms until ten days after the stomachflu passes and continue with the pill in the meanwhile. check for a pregnancy test however
