Do Dizziness And Vision Issues Suggestive Of Stroke?

I have been reading about strokes & am wondering if I may have had a mini stroke. Have had sudden onset of dizzy spells & have had to lie down for a few hours. One happened after reading for the afternoon & when I went out I felt my vision was off & after returning home the dizziness hit.I put it down to reading but now I wonder as I have had the problem twice previously this year. Both other times I felt okay- no vision issues. I m 72 with no other serious health issues. I am aware of the stroke symptoms. Blood pressure is normal but cholesterol is slightly elevated &I need to have it checked again.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have symptoms like dizziness and vision issue , you are wondering if they are symptoms of stroke or not . The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like ear infection , meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis or some simple reasons like low blood glucose or sugar level . But these symptom sometimes also occur prior to condition like stroke and along with them there are other symptoms also like trouble with speaking and understanding , numbness of the face, arm or leg and trouble with walking . If you are experiencing symptoms describe above along with dizziness and blurred vision then consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile and in some cases doctor order angiography . Doctor will treat you as per your diagnosis . For now do not bend forward and take proper rest .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
