Do Elevated WBC Count And Dehydration Cause Vomiting And Cough?

I went to the ER last night after an episode of unresponsive they treated and diagnosed me with dehydration and elevated white blood count (21) they have me fluid and sent me home I ve been coughing and vomiting ever since. I had the cough for about a month and they did a cat scan with contrast of my lungs with negative results also. I Have had experienced vomiting ever since.

High white cell blood count can be indicative of infection , likely related to the coughing and vomiting that you are experiencing.

The most common reason for persistent coughing is post nasal drip . The other causes are GERD (reflux) and asthma. Reflux can also be associated with vomiting as well. Some person may have more than one

This is most commonly due to allergies though this can also occur in acute infection.

The use of decongestants and antihistamines along with topical steroid nasal sprays may help with the coughing.
You may want to add reflux medication as well.
