General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
- In PCOD, there can be irregular ovulation once in a while. You had taken tablets of hormone progesteron.. which is supposed to cause withdrawal bleeding( following a short course of the pills ) within 8 days of stopping the pills. You did not have such bleeding.. this strongly indicates possibility of pregnancy.
- Secondly, PCOD itself can cause a long gap in menstrual periods, non responding to hormonal stimulus.
* The exact diagnosis would be by Urine pregnanancy or USG abdomen.
Thanks.
