Do Fibroids Cause False Positive For Pregnancy In Tests?
I went to the ER for neck/shoulder pain and left with a blood result positive for pregnancy. I am 51 yrs old and knew that was false. I had more blood work done which came back the same. I had a ultrasound and MRI. From those tests, I was told I have advanced cervical Cancer stage 4B. Then, I had a PET CT scan and needle biopsy which came back negative for Cancer! Now, I m told I have multiple fibroids and need a total abdominal hysterectomy. I was also born with Spina bifida and had a kidney transplant 5 years ago. Do fibroids cause false positive pregnancy tests?

Hello,
Fibroid, cervical cancer or any other condition does not cause a false positive pregnancy result. Since, there are multiple fibroids and cervical cancer stage III, total abdominal hysterectomy will be required.
