General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Suggestive of chronic hepatitis C. Your father needs to be further evaluated by a gastroenterologist or a hepatologist. To treat a confirmed case of hepatitis C a combination of antiviral drugs like sofosbuvir and ribavirin are usually given for 12 to 16 weeks under careful monitoring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
