Do Hydrochlorothiazides Cause Effects Like, Rapid Heart Beat And Dizziness?

Hi, last evening I was rushed to hospital with 197/112 BP with a pulse of 190+. After several hours (no beta blockers) it settled down. I was taking hydrochlorothiazide for the past 14 days and I jus read that in severe cases it can cause irratic heart beat and dizziness. I was out on it for invertigo and dizzines due to possible fluid in inner ear. Heart rate has been running at 100 past 2-3 weeks when it is normally72-78. Could med be culprit, or what else need I do?
