Do I Get Pregnant When On Cetapin For My Diabetic Condition?

From past one week Iam taking cetapin xr 500mg once in a day for my diabetic condition. Iam very much concerned tht did I get pregenency because of this tablet. Your answer will be very much helpful to me...Thx in advance...

Hi and welcome to HCM. cetapin xr 500 contains metformin which is a anti diabetic drug. It is very effective in controlling blood sugar and their is no relation between metformin and u getting pregnant. It is not a contraceptive pill or any fertility enhancing pill. If u are already pregnant then its better to consult your gynecologist for diabetes management in pregnancy. Regards.
