Do I Need A Medication To Control Blood Sugar Levels?

I am a 52 years old man, weight 90 kgs and my fasting result 3 weeks ago was 13.6mmol/L. Yap, I know it was high and my doctor said that I am diabetic. However, all my other index e.g. liver, kidney, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides index are normal. Before the test, I had a year of not very disciplined diet habit, e.g. high carbs and high quantity. Since then, I started to manage my diet much more healthier and balancing. I did exercise 5 times a week. I marked down my fasting and 2 hrs blood testing after meal. So far my average fasting is 5.8, 2 hrs after lunch 7.3, 2 hrs after diner 5.0 (usually I will worked out after diner) and 6.0 before bed. And I am in a progressing good and stable trend as well. Meanwhile, i took no medicine. My question is: What is my situation now?
