Do I Need Another Bypass Surgery For Blocked Grafts In Cardiac Cath?
I have had symptoms of shortness of breath, fatigue, lightheaded for a month. History: Heart attack at age 59 (currently 71), 5-way CABG in 2001, Have recently had holter, echocardiogram, nuke stress test (test was stopped due to fatigue and BP drop) Cardiac cath a few days ago (four of the five grafts completely plugged, the fifth partially plugged (Doc says stent is not an option). I m meeting with my cardiologist next Thursday. Is the likely recommended action likely to be a second round of bypass surgery or is there another reasonable path? What s the risk profile? What would you do?
