Do Large Tonsils In A 3-year-old Require Medical Attention?

hi my 3 year old son has very large toungsils and has had them since very young, never bothered him untill recently hes being funny with his food,asking me to cut it up tiny and saying he will be sick, there is very little space between them and is concerning me

if he is having difficulty in eating and tonsils are very large than get it operated upon .if he can tolerate than wait until 5 yr of age .
