Do Medication For TB In Meninges Cause Confusion And Repetition Of Things?

my mother was taken ill 2 weeks ago with severe tb in the meninges and has started her treatment two days ago, she is talking confused and repeating things. uptil now she was fine! i am convinced her medication is doing this, she is on 4 types of drugs (plus steriods) cannot remember the name but its 16 tablets a day for a year. im worried that if she carrries on taking these drugs which she will be for 12 months she will never be the same person again, please help
