Do Medication For Poison Ivy Cause Foul Body Odour?

My 7 year old son is on bactroban & orapred to treat a severe case of poison ivy. Not sure where the smell is coming from but, he has this horrible odor coming from him. I thought he just needed a good shower, so I helped him with that. But, it is an awful smell. Could it be from the meds.
