Do Muscle Spasms Cause Sense Of Tightness And Numbness?

I am a 32 yr old female and lately I have been having pressure like feeling on my left side it seems to be tighting in the front breast area and sometimes the back shoulder area. I will also get numbness down my arm to my fingers. I have had a mri but it was about 2yrs ago and they said it looked like severe muscles spasams. Does this seem right? I really don't want to live with this the rest of my life and it scares me sometimes thinking I am having heart problems.
