Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When they say, Do not take non prescription pain medicine longer than required exactly what does that mean? I am worried I may have been damaging my kidneys, as I am now experiencing symptoms of kidney problems. I take non prescription sleeping medication, antihistamines, aleve, and Xanax and two types of antidepressants as well as a medicine for seizures every night, and have done for more than two years. Could this cause my kidneys to shut down?
