Do Red Spots Inside The Throat Need Medical Attention?
Throughout the day,my nose started to get runny, a little sneezy, recently my throat stared to hurt and I am starting to have sinus pressure. When I just checked my throat in the mirror, I noticed a few red spots. Should I go to urgent care tomorrow or wait and try to get into personal doctor on Tuesday? Don t feel like I have fever, but definitely not feeling great.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It seems that you are suffering form mild inflammation in the throat due to allergic involvement of nose.
You may consult a doctor after 2-3 days, not urgent.
Till then, you may find relief by taking the following medications:
Antiallergic with decongestant, like Levocetirizine with Phenylephrine
Analgesic with anti inflammatory, like Ibuprofen
Antacid, like Rantac
Do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and avoid dust inhalation.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
