Hi, I had a full hysterectomy almost one year ago, border line ovarian cancer, they took out everything lately I get cramps like period cramps my last check up was in may and since then the cramos are pretty much daily. Not bad but they are there
Cluld this b cancer returning or scar tissue thanks

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Having cramps need not necessarily indicate a recurrence of cancer. After hysterectomy it can take 3 months to a year for complete surgical recovery. You must go for regular follow up imaging to rule out any recurrence. Cramps might be due to nerve stimulation occurring after surgery.
