Do Regular Cycles Of Chemotherapy Lead To An Increased Glucose Level?

I completed chemotherapy last March 2016 and my glucose level went up during and is still high at 150. Does chemotherapy affect glucose levels? I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer, had a complete hysterectomy, followed by 6 cycles of chemo, every 3 weeks.

Hello,

Chemotherapy does not affect blood glucose level.

You can go for a fasting blood sugar (FBS) to rule out undetected diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
