Do Severe And Painful Itching On Ankles Suggest Shingles?

Started with itching on ankles, thought it was from bug bites, Mosquitos or noseeums might have bitten me as I left my office this evening. Put coconut oil with lavender on before I went to bed and then woke up an hour ago with painful itching on my left hand, particularly around fingers. Got up, put on the homeopathic Sting Stop lotion and an oral homeopathic for bug bites. Went back to sleep, woke up an hour later with my left arm itching and my right pinkie finger. Just put on more coconut and lavender, it helps some. There are a couple of places that look like fairly large welts from bug bites. Am concerned it might be shingles, have never had the shot.

Hello,

The painful itching on ankles do possible issue with allergic eruptions or fungal infection. Guidelines for better recovery:
- Keep the area clean with antiseptic liquid or soap
- Local application of sterroid cream with or without anti-fungal
- Prescription of antibiotics such as Amoxicilllin, Doxycycline or else, anti histamine such as Diphenhydramine, anti-fungal medicine as Fluconazole or Itroconazole

The shingles do not match with the current description of non-dermatomal distribution region such as ankle.
