Do Steroid Injections Affect Blood Sugar Levels?
Hi, I had a steroid injection into my shoulder this am. This Thursday a.m. another doctor has ordered lab work to be drawn. Will this steroid still affect my Blood Sugar by that point. Will it affect any other routine lab work results? It will be 48 hours after the injection.

Systemic (in blood) steroid injection can rise blood sugar level.
But local (shoulder joint) steroid injection has no effect on blood sugar level.
It also won't cause any other blood abnormality.
So no effect of steroid injection on blood reports in your case.
