Do Strained Muscles Cause Dry Cough, Chills And Night Sweats?
Hi, have this chill and dry cough for the past three weeks. Three weeks ago my abdominal muscles was killing me. Last week my right upper chest muscle was stained. I had seen my doctor twice in the past three weeks. My doctor told me it s all muscle strain. It is due to my over-exercise. Today all my muscle pain are gone but I am still getting the chill, cough and night sweat. Over the past 3 weeks I will wake up in the middle of the night to change my cloth and bed sheets. I sweated that bad. The last time this occur was 2 days ago. I am thinking I have some type of internal infection. I also have a tooth that need to be remove for implant. I am schedule to do so in a couple of weeks but it s hard to visit an oral surgeon when you are coughing. Can my tooth be the of my fever like symptoms? I am in my mid 50, male, non-smoker and non-drinker, and healthly. I exercise extremely often. Please advise

thanks for the question- Combination of chills , night sweats, Cough and chest pain indicates some lung infection. I advise you to have some basic blood test like complete blood count, ESR and chest X Ray. You may need antibiotic after test result. Charactestic of fever with night sweats are less likely due to bad tooth until it has been abscessed.
