Do Sugar Pills Cause Delayed Menses?

I was due to get my period 2 days ago and still have not gotten it yet. I am having alot of nausea after eating, cramping, sharp pain in the lumbar area of my back, and breast tenderness, also more discharge than usual. I am on birth control but recently my periods do not come when I am on the sugar pills. I am very worried, any advice?
