Do The Blood Sugar Levels Need Medical Attention?

i have been checking my blood sugar levels the past two weeks with one of them meters u can get at walmart and every morning when i wake and take a reading it between 105 - 130. Was wandering if i need to make an appt with my doctor about my concerns and how should i bring it up. Diabetes run in my family on both sides and had a regular blood work done about month ago and one the test ran ran was for glucose and the result was 104 (fasting for 10 hours), but doctor said all looked good.

Hi dear.Welcome to HCM & thanks for posting me the query.
I were to advise therapeutic life style changes- dietary control and exercise at this stage to postpone the occurrence of diabetes since you have a strong family history.Fasting sugars <130 are normal and sugars < 200 are normal measured 2 hours after food.Since your sugars are well within the normal range you need not panic.Hope this answers your query.All the best.Stay healthy and stay fit.
