Do The Symptoms Of Impaired Vision And Pain Behind The Eye Deteriorate With Time?

Hello...I have been diagnosed with a macula hole in left eye. symptoms being faint cloudy shape, impaired vision and an ache behind that eye. Specialist wants me to wait 4weeks and then see a Retinal Specialist. My question is do I wait another 4 weeks or could this cause more damage. I have already had the symptoms for approximately 3weeks. Thanking you...Lyn.

Dear- thanks for using our service. I understand your concern and will give you my medical advise. Macula with a hole gives impaired vision that can get worse if not treated .However, you should follow the ophtalmologist recommendation. Protect your eyes with sun glasses,do not force the vision and have the evaluation with Retina Specialist.
I hope that my advise has been helpful
