Do Trembling Lips And Spasm In Face While Talking Indicate Social Anxiety Disorder?

When I am talking to someone one on one or if I m just introduced to someone, I feel like my face is having a spasm or my lips are trembling and I fear that it is very noticeable to others, though no one ever reacts. Is this a symptom of Social Anxiety Disorder, anxiety, or something else?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, this is likely due to anxiety. Social anxiety is one of the types of anxiety disorders that can occur.

Since your symptoms occur when interacting with someone , it is the type that is likely causing your problem.

Speaking to a counselor or psychiatrist may help. Short term use of medication may be needed if counselling alone is not enough.

I hope this helps
