Do You Need A Support To Walk Post A Tibia Fracture?

sir i got lower 1/3rd tibia fractured last year in feb ..........and interlocking nailing was done..after that i got 2-3 times infection near ankle ....this yr in feb nail was removed and still i m walking with the help of stick. However i dont have any pain if i walk without any support........can i leave my support permanently in this time???
